Corrugated cardboard boxes, which are made of corrugated cardboard, are widely used in packaging various items in daily life. Their application scope is very broad, and I believe everyone has used them before. The size and specifications of these boxes can be easily adjusted according to the size of the goods, and they possess excellent shock-absorbing and protective capabilities. These advantages make corrugated cardboard boxes highly popular in various logistics and freight industries. However, due to their paper material, corrugated cardboard boxes have some unavoidable shortcomings, with the most common being their susceptibility to moisture. Below, I will introduce some methods to address the moisture-proof issue of corrugated cardboard boxes.
Corrugated Cardboard Boxes
- It is recommended that corrugated cardboard boxes do not come into direct contact with the ground. Placing a wooden pallet on the ground can absorb some of the moisture from the ground.
- When storing corrugated cardboard boxes, it is important to prevent them from getting wet, as moisture can cause the boxes to soften and affect their usability. Choose a dry and well-ventilated environment for storage.
- If corrugated cardboard boxes do become damp, a dehumidifier can be used to treat them. However, severely dampened boxes may no longer be usable or may affect their secondary use. To avoid such situations, proper preventive measures should be taken beforehand.
- Wrapping the corrugated cardboard boxes with stretch film can provide additional protection and effectively reduce the impact of rainy seasons on the boxes.
